Our Uniform Security force ranks as one of the best in the industry. To deliver on consistent service quality experience, United officers are fully trained and qualified in First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, BST 1 & 2 (BC) and up-to-date security training programs provided by the Security Officer Career College  a recognized vocational college with Alberta Advanced Education. Our E-learning training programs allow all officers to participate in current training regardless of location. Site qualification requirements such as CSTS, Confined Space and Entry & Rescue, Advanced First Aid, EMR and EMT certification can be obtained in-house utilizing our Security Officer Career College. Additional services offered include by-law and traffic enforcement utilizing vehicle and bicycle patrols.
Our guards provide service to a wide array of clients including government buildings, retail shopping malls, educational facilities, heavy industrial sites (urban and remote locations), airports, pipelines, construction sites, financial institutions, rail and trucking yards, restaurants, sports facilities and labour disputes.
Our specialization of services and “target hiring” for individual clients separates insures that the qualities required of our site placements meet or exceed the requirements of our clients.

 

Guard Training

United Protection Services provides comprehensive training to all guards and staff, so they are ready to meet a client’s requirements. Guards receive Basic Induction Training, Pre-site Placement Training, First Aid, CPR and WHMIS. Other training provided, depending on placement, may include H2S Alive, Confined Space, Defensive Driving, Crisis Intervention and Emotional Intelligence. United also provides continuous online E-Learning to all guards and staff. Incentives are offered to new hires with experience and acquired skills.
Deployment of staff and equipment is discussed with each client upon agreement of services. When working with new clients United Protection pays close attention to integrate security staff from their previous provider (if requested) and new hires receive the respect, benefits and welcoming atmosphere that comes from working with the United team. Our uniform is distinctive, with LAPD blue fabric and trademark gold and blue cresting on the shoulder flash.
